Is Encore at Reunion West Safe?
Yes. The community is gated with controlled access, so only residents and authorized guests can enter. The streets are quiet, well-lit, and designed with families in mind. Many guests with young children specifically choose Encore at Reunion West because of the safety and security it provides.
About Encore Resort (Important Note)
Encore Resort (encorereunion.com) operates its own on-site amenities including a water park with Wave Racer slides, restaurants (Finns, The Bis Grill, Shark Lounge), a fitness center, and sports courts. However, these amenities are exclusively for guests who book their stay through Encore Resort directly. They are not available to guests of privately owned homes in the surrounding neighborhood.
450 Burma is a privately owned vacation home located in the Encore at Reunion West neighborhood. While we share the same gated community, our guests do not have access to Encore Resort amenities (water park, restaurants, gym, etc.). We want to be upfront about this so there are no surprises when you arrive.
The good news is that our home has plenty of its own amenities — a private heated pool and hot tub, a game room with Pac-Man, air hockey, and foosball, a backyard playground, themed bedrooms, and a Tesla EV charger. You will not be short on entertainment.
There are also great nearby public attractions available to everyone:
- Island H2O Live! Water Park — about 5 minutes away, open to the public
- Reunion Resort Golf Courses — three championship courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tom Watson (public tee times available)
- Restaurants along US-27 — dozens of dining options within a short drive
