Disney World Packing List: What to Bring and What We Provide

Fully equipped gourmet kitchen at 450 Burma vacation home Kissimmee

Packing for a Disney World vacation can feel overwhelming, especially when you are bringing the whole family to stay at a vacation rental instead of a hotel. The good news is that 450 Burma Road is stocked with so many premium amenities that your packing list is actually shorter than you think. This comprehensive Disney World packing list is divided into two parts: what we already provide at the house and what you should bring for the parks and your stay.

What 450 Burma Already Provides (Leave These at Home)

One of the biggest advantages of staying at a fully equipped luxury vacation home is that you can leave a lot of bulky items at home. Here is everything waiting for you when you arrive at 450 Burma Road.

Premium sleep setup. Every bedroom features premium mattresses, high-quality pillows, luxury bedding, blackout curtains paired with blackout shades, and sound machines. You do not need to bring your own pillows, sleep masks, or white noise apps. We have created a sleep environment that rivals any five-star hotel, which matters more than you think after 12 hours of walking through theme parks.

All towels and linens. Bath towels, pool towels, washcloths, bed sheets, and blankets are all provided. Please leave those bulky towels out of your suitcase.

Full gourmet kitchen. Granite counters, premium appliances, air fryer, automatic espresso machine, burr coffee grinder, and Keurig. Cookware, dishes, utensils, and serving ware are all stocked. No need to bring any kitchen supplies.

High-speed internet. AT&T Fiber delivering 1 Gbps speeds through a Wi-Fi 7 mesh network, plus a backup 5G connection. Stream, video call, work remotely, or let the kids game online without any lag or dead zones throughout the house.

Gaming and entertainment. PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch OLED, a Pac-Man arcade cabinet with 1,300 games, air hockey, ping pong, foosball, and premium cornhole. Leave the board games and travel games at home because the game room at 450 Burma has more entertainment than most arcades.

Smart home tech and charging. USB-C outlets are built into the walls throughout the house, so you do not need to bring charging bricks or adapters. Smart locks mean keyless entry with no physical keys to worry about. Smart thermostats and smart lighting let you customize comfort from your phone.

Pool and outdoor living. Private heated pool and hot tub, luxury outdoor sectional, dining set, pergola with dual premium fans, patio string lights, and landscape lighting. Everything you need for poolside relaxation is already here.

EV charging. Driving a Tesla or other electric vehicle? We have a 50-amp EV charger ready to go. No need to hunt for charging stations.

What to Pack for the Theme Parks

Now for the stuff you actually need to bring. This section focuses on what to pack for your days at Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and other Orlando attractions.

  • Comfortable walking shoes (most important item on this list) — You will walk 8 to 12 miles per park day. Break in your shoes before the trip. Bring at least two pairs so you can rotate and let them dry out overnight. Blisters can ruin a vacation faster than rain.
  • Sunscreen SPF 50+ — Florida sun is intense year-round. Apply before you leave the house and reapply every two hours. Spray sunscreen is easiest for reapplication in the parks.
  • Rain ponchos — Florida afternoon thunderstorms are almost guaranteed from June through September. Cheap disposable ponchos from the dollar store work perfectly. Park ponchos cost $10 to $15 each.
  • Portable phone charger / power bank — Between the My Disney Experience app, photos, videos, and mobile ordering, your phone battery will drain fast. Bring a fully charged power bank with at least 10,000 mAh capacity.
  • Refillable water bottles — Disney provides free ice water at any quick-service restaurant. Bring insulated bottles to keep water cold all day. Staying hydrated in Florida heat is essential.
  • Autograph book and thick marker for kids — If your children want character autographs, bring these from home. Park versions are overpriced.
  • Stroller for young kids — If your child is under 6 or tires easily, a lightweight umbrella stroller is worth bringing or renting. Park walking distances are no joke.
  • Lightweight backpack or day bag — You need something to carry sunscreen, ponchos, water bottles, chargers, and snacks. A drawstring bag or small backpack works best.
  • Ziploc bags — Protect your phone and wallet on water rides. Also great for storing snacks.

What to Pack for the House

Your time at 450 Burma is just as important as your time at the parks. Here is what to bring for relaxing at the vacation home.

  • Swimsuits — Bring at least two per person so one can dry while you wear the other. The private heated pool and hot tub will be calling your name every evening.
  • Flip flops or sandals — For the pool area and lounging around the house.
  • Casual evening clothes — Comfortable shorts, t-shirts, and pajamas for relaxing after park days.
  • Groceries or a grocery delivery order — Publix and Walmart are both under 5 minutes away, but many guests prefer to place a delivery order so food is waiting when they arrive. Stock up on breakfast items, snacks, and dinner supplies to save hundreds on dining.

Florida-Specific Must-Haves

Florida has its own set of packing requirements that visitors from other climates often overlook.

  • Hat or visor — Sun protection for your face and head during long park days.
  • Quality sunglasses — Polarized lenses are ideal for the Florida glare. Bring a strap so they do not fly off on roller coasters.
  • Insect repellent — Florida mosquitoes are active year-round, especially near water and during evening hours. A small spray bottle in your bag goes a long way.
  • Light layers for aggressive AC — Florida businesses and attractions crank the air conditioning. A light hoodie or cardigan is essential, especially for sit-down restaurants and indoor queues. The temperature difference between outside and inside can be 20 to 30 degrees.
  • Moisture-wicking clothing — Cotton gets heavy and uncomfortable in Florida humidity. Athletic fabrics dry faster and keep you cooler.

What NOT to Pack (Common Mistakes)

Just as important as knowing what to bring is knowing what to leave behind. Here are the items our guests most commonly bring and never end up using because 450 Burma already has them covered.

  • Bulky towels — We provide bath towels and pool towels. Save that suitcase space.
  • Kitchen supplies — No need for paper plates, plastic utensils, coffee makers, or cooking equipment. Our gourmet kitchen is fully stocked.
  • Board games and card games — The game room features a Pac-Man arcade with 1,300 games, air hockey, ping pong, foosball, and premium cornhole. Plus three gaming consoles with extensive game libraries. Entertainment is covered.
  • Portable speakers — Smart home audio throughout the house lets you play music in any room.
  • Laptop chargers and USB bricks — USB-C outlets are built into the walls throughout the house. Just bring your cables.
  • Sleep accessories — No need for travel pillows, sleep masks, or sound machines. Every bedroom is outfitted with premium sleep amenities including blackout curtains, blackout shades, and sound machines.

The Ultimate Packing Hack: Pack Light and Let the House Do the Heavy Lifting

The biggest advantage of staying at a luxury vacation rental like 450 Burma is that the house itself eliminates half your packing list. Focus your suitcase space on park essentials, comfortable shoes, swimwear, and Florida-appropriate clothing. Everything else is waiting for you in your home away from home.
