Is Encore at Reunion West Safe?

Yes. The community is gated with controlled access, so only residents and authorized guests can enter. The streets are quiet, well-lit, and designed with families in mind. Many guests with young children specifically choose Encore at Reunion West because of the safety and security it provides.

About Encore Resort (Important Note)

Encore Resort (encorereunion.com) operates its own on-site amenities including a water park with Wave Racer slides, restaurants (Finns, The Bis Grill, Shark Lounge), a fitness center, and sports courts. However, these amenities are exclusively for guests who book their stay through Encore Resort directly. They are not available to guests of privately owned homes in the surrounding neighborhood.

450 Burma is a privately owned vacation home located in the Encore at Reunion West neighborhood. While we share the same gated community, our guests do not have access to Encore Resort amenities (water park, restaurants, gym, etc.). We want to be upfront about this so there are no surprises when you arrive.

The good news is that our home has plenty of its own amenities — a private heated pool and hot tub, a game room with Pac-Man, air hockey, and foosball, a backyard playground, themed bedrooms, and a Tesla EV charger. You will not be short on entertainment.

There are also great nearby public attractions available to everyone:
- Island H2O Live! Water Park — about 5 minutes away, open to the public
- Reunion Resort Golf Courses — three championship courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tom Watson (public tee times available)

10 Tips for Planning a Family Vacation to Kissimmee and Orlando
Kissimmee and Orlando are among the top family vacation destinations in the world — and for good reason. With Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, beautiful weather, and endless activities, there is something for everyone. Here are 10 tips to help you plan the perfect family trip.

1. Visit During Off-Peak Seasons

The most expensive and crowded times to visit Orlando are summer (June-August), spring break, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas through New Year. For shorter lines and lower prices, consider visiting in January, early February, late September, or early November. You will get the same great weather without the peak-season prices.

2. Stay in a Vacation Home Instead of a Hotel
