Why Runners Stay at 450 Burma

Fuel Your Race: Full Kitchen for Carb-Loading

The night-before pasta dinner is sacred for runners. Our gourmet kitchen lets you prepare exactly what your body needs:

  • Cook your go-to pre-race meals — pasta, rice, oatmeal, whatever fuels your best performance
  • Prepare race-morning breakfast at 2-3 AM without waking up the whole hotel floor
  • Store your nutrition — gels, electrolytes, and recovery shakes in the full-size fridge
  • Post-race feast — Cook a celebratory dinner or grill on the patio (free propane)
  • Publix and Walmart under 5 minutes — Stock up on everything you need

Recovery Zone

After running 13.1 or 26.2 miles through Disney, recovery is everything:

  • Private heated pool — Cool off and loosen up tired legs
  • Hot tub / spa — Soak sore muscles after your race
  • Blackout curtains and sound machines — Critical for 2-3 AM race-morning wake-ups and post-race naps
  • Washer and dryer — Wash sweaty race gear immediately
  • Premium mattresses — Quality sleep between race days, especially important for Dopey Challenge runners racing 4 consecutive days

Room for Your Running Crew

Marathon Weekend is better with friends. With 6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms sleeping up to 16, your running group, family, or multi-family crew all stays together. Runners and non-runners can have separate schedules — early risers head to the start line while spectators sleep in and meet at the finish.

15 Minutes to the Start Line

450 Burma is just 15 minutes from Walt Disney World, making those early morning race starts (typically 5:00-5:30 AM) much more manageable than staying far from the parks. You can also easily access the ESPN Wide World of Sports Expo for bib pickup.
