Vacation Rental Near Disney with Tesla / EV Charger — 50-Amp Onsite
If you’re traveling to Disney in a Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, or any EV, finding a vacation rental with proper charging is harder than finding one with a pool. 450 Burma has a dedicated 50-amp NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage/driveway — free, included, and works with every EV on the market.
Charger Specs
- Outlet type: NEMA 14-50 (industry standard 240V, 50-amp)
- Power delivery: Up to 40 amps continuous = ~9.6 kW
- Charging speed: 25–44 miles of range per hour (depending on your EV)
- Full overnight charge: 200–250 miles added in 8 hours
- Works with: Tesla Mobile Connector, J1772 portable chargers (Rivian, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, etc.)
- Location: Garage-side, weatherproof
- Cost: Free, included in your stay
What You Need to Bring
Tesla drivers
Bring your Tesla Mobile Connector (Gen 2) with the NEMA 14-50 adapter. Plugs right in. Every new Tesla ships with one.
Non-Tesla EVs
Bring a portable Level 2 EVSE with NEMA 14-50 plug. Most EV manufacturers sell these (Rivian, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, etc.). You can also rent one from EVSE rental services.
Rental Teslas
If you’re renting a Tesla through Hertz, Turo, or SIXT, confirm the Mobile Connector is in the frunk before leaving the rental lot. Most rentals include it, but verify.
Why a Rental with a Charger Beats Public Charging
No wait times
Orlando-area Superchargers get busy during Disney season (holidays, spring break). You could wait 20–45 minutes just to plug in. Home charging is zero wait.
No cost per kWh
Public fast chargers run $0.35–$0.55/kWh. A full charge can cost $25–$45. At 450 Burma, your charging is included — effectively free overnight charging.
Full battery every morning
Start each day with 100% range. No range anxiety. No detour to a Supercharger between park days.
Peace of mind on long travel days
Heading to Kennedy Space Center (60 mi) or Cocoa Beach (60 mi)? Start with a full battery, not an empty one.
Public Charging Backups Near Disney
In case you ever need public charging:
- Disney Springs — multiple chargers (Tesla + CCS)
- Contemporary Resort garage — Tesla destination chargers
- Champions Gate Publix — EA fast chargers (2.5 mi from 450 Burma)
- I-4 Supercharger (Lakeland) — 25 mi west

Is 50-Amp Enough for My EV?
For overnight charging, yes — for nearly every EV on the road as of 2026:
| Vehicle | Miles added per hour | 8-hr overnight total |
|---|---|---|
| Tesla Model Y Long Range | ~40 mi/hr | 320 mi |
| Tesla Model 3 | ~44 mi/hr | 352 mi |
| Rivian R1T | ~25 mi/hr | 200 mi |
| Ford Mustang Mach-E | ~30 mi/hr | 240 mi |
| Hyundai Ioniq 5 | ~30 mi/hr | 240 mi |
| Lucid Air | ~30 mi/hr | 240 mi |
Even heavy driving days at Disney rarely use more than 100 miles of range. Full overnight charge every night.
